As part of our Visual Storytelling Project it is important we look at our branding and how we show ourselves professionally online. I do currently use social media to present myself and my work however, i am going to use this project to develop myself and my branding further.
In class we were given the task to think about our own logos and how we could develop the, to really communicate ourselves and our brand. Below shows some of my thumbnail sketches in which I incorporated elements of my work that I felt would really speak about myself and my work.
Some of these were inspired by my current logo as seen below. For my work i use two main logos, the first being my face branding in which I use as social media profile pictures and other elements such as stickers. I like to have this as my 'face logo' as I feel it adds a personal touch to my brand whilst also showing my illustration style. I do tend to mix my logo up by changing the background elements however keeping the main illustration. For example this logo which i am using currently relates to a collection of work that i have just released onto my online shop. I chose to do this as a marketing technique to help promote the overall look i am going for when it comes to releasing my new body of work and products.
The second logo I use more professionally when I feel that my self portrait does not fit. For example this style of my logo is seen on back of products such as cards as well as business cards. I like having the two logos and they both have different styles yet link together to add to my overall branding and identity.
To improve moving forward I will keep to this seasonal idea and maybe update it ready for a Christmas theme as I plan to release my annual Christmas collection. Or I might plan to match it with my upcoming jungle book inspired proejct.
